How We Got Here

My name is Jonny Yucuis, the former proud driver of a gas powered car. In 2017 my daughter was born (She goes by Cece or The Cecemeister) and I was driving an aging Saturn.

It was coming up on time to get a new car. I had been thinking about what life would be like in 10, 20, 30, 50 years and noticing an ever increasing number of articles showing that we need to take action now if we want to fend off the worst effects of climate change within our lifetimes.

With Cece as my motivation, I made a decision that I would commit to switching to electric and ditch my gas-powered car. None of my friends or family have electric cars so I didn’t have anyone to go to for advice. It came down to doing as much research as I could get my hands on.

My Goal: Convince You & 100 Fellow Rochesterites To Go Electric Within The Next Year

I believe that if we can show that there is demand for Electric Vehicles in Rochester, this will drive infrastructure investments such as more charging stations and bringing car inventory to Rochester car dealers.

This is the key to spurring and accelerating change.
